They never cross off any of the epithets from their list. It's much more convenient to continue the name calling than to have civil debate.

The vast majority of people here call each other names regardless of their political positions.

It would make a good law to be passed at the federal level but it was a horrible Supreme Court decision having nothing to do with the Constitution.

It's not like the Democrats have the making of a platform, that appeals to anybody this close to midterms, so this can go farther back on the GOP plans.

Let me guess. Have you ever seen the "Church lady" skits on Saturday Night Live, back when the show was still funny?
Unfortunately, there is more truth to that than you might imagine. I lived in the Bible Belt for a quarter of a century and those Baptists are something else. As mentally shutdown and inflexible as the Progs are.

Between the 2 groups, we rational people have got our work cut out for us. Exhausting....

I can count on my fingers the amount of times I've watched Saturday Night Live. I'm not familiar with the Church Lady skits.

Where does the idea come from? From many years of interacting with people of various backgrounds including Baptists and fundamentalist types.

If legislated by the state then you would still need to address tax code and SS for instance.

So, you proved that I was correct. You are disingenuous. The results surprised you but the humility doesn't exist for you to own that and to adjust your divisive behavior.

Btw, WHO votes for the politicians? Get how this works?

Yep, which.makes it a federal issue. You can remove all federal benefits of marriage from everyone and then everyone can simply do their own thing.

You really need to move out of your hometown before it's too late for you. Your posts, polls and views about everyday Republicans and conservatives are so over the top and paranoid. Your own polls here proved you dead wrong but you still don't give up. You can't see it of course because that's all you know and you've built a life around your paranoia. It's not too late for you. Get some real help and I'm being sincere.
