Reagan agreed to amnesty because the Democrats promised to close the boarder after. And as usual, the Democrats lied about it.

Since when it is ok for them to hire illegal aliens? By the way, only 2-4% of illegals are working on farms and for those jobs there are unlimited visas for legal, foreign workers so there's no excuse for them to hire illegal aliens except for pure greed.

Why shouldn't the Democrats support Trump and the Republicans on border security, internal enforcement, e-verify, etc? Aren't they Americans also? Aren't they obligated to protect our country from illegal immigration just as the right is?

What do you mean by fixing reform immigration? What needs fixing? You know darned well that it's the code word for amnesty with the Democrats.

Once again, it was the Democrats that blocked e-verify in the past but Trump has it in his 2019 budget. E-verify is a good tool to catch illegals during the hiring process. Trump reinstated the workplace raids also. While the Democrats balk at the wall, advocate for sanctuary cities, abolishing ICE and want another mass amnesty. How does that solve the illegal immigration problem?

I don't know about some sell out Republicans but Trump is serious about illegal immigration and towing in these greedy employers. What are the Democrats doing besides demonizing him and anyone on the right who wants us to return to the rule of law on immigration? Just like you're doing constantly in your posts! Thanks for proving my point!

Why haven't the blue states even implemented e-verify? You're making this only about Republican business owners, red states and the Republican party. Both parties and every state is guilty of hiring illegal aliens. Calif. sure is and it's as blue as you can get! Make it mandated on the federal level rather than the state level with penalties for non-compliance and you will see a difference. Trump is pushing that and the Democrats won't go for it anymore than they did in the past.

By the way, Bloomberg? Anti-"immigration" states?

Republicans control the White House, Republicans control the Congress, Republicans control the US Senate.

GOP = Grand OpenBorders Policy.

Taxes, health care, education, and other social services are issues that matter to me the most but democrats are making immigration the focal point of their platform which sidelines all the other issues.
Stop believing the lies Trump and the right wing talking heads are feeding you.

One day native blacks and Hispanics will turn on the Democratic party like a pack of wolves once they realize resources and legislation meant for them, are instead being handed out to illegals.

This is when Democrats will realize illegal immigration is an unwinnable issue.

And maybe that's when we will have a viable third party....because they certainly aren't going to the party of David duke, neonazis and old white men
