Why should democrats do anything when republicans are in control and won't fix our reform immigration or crackdown on employers who use illegals? Everify is as effective as Republican efforts in gun regulation lmao.
Why shouldn't the Democrats support Trump and the Republicans on border security, internal enforcement, e-verify, etc? Aren't they Americans also? Aren't they obligated to protect our country from illegal immigration just as the right is?

Once again, it was the Democrats that blocked e-verify in the past but Trump has it in his 2019 budget. E-verify is a good tool to catch illegals during the hiring process. Trump reinstated the workplace raids also. While the Democrats balk at the wall, advocate for sanctuary cities, abolishing ICE and want another mass amnesty. How does that solve the illegal immigration problem?
I don't know about some sell out Republicans but Trump is serious about illegal immigration and towing in these greedy employers. Why haven't the blue states even implemented e-verify? You're making this only about Republican business owners, red states and the Republican party. Both parties and every state is guilty of hiring illegal aliens. Calif. sure is and it's as blue as you can get! Make it mandated on the federal level rather than the state level with penalties for non-compliance and you will see a difference. Trump is pushing that and the Democrats won't go for it anymore than they did in the past.
I'm a life long democrat but even I'm continuously disappointed that democrats keep forcing illegal immigrants down the population's throats. You're not going to convince rust belt moderates who determine elections that illegal immigration is good and the more they continue to do this, the more they are going to lose. Taxes, health care, education, and other social services are issues that matter to me the most but democrats are making immigration the focal point of their platform which sidelines all the other issues.
