Whenever it comes to fighting for illegal aliens, the Democrats are willing to do whatever it takes. Sad.

Why are the only options “no wall” or “fund the wall but the wall is stupid”? Where’s the option for “fund the damn fence or wall or whatever you want to call it because it’s a good idea”? It’s pretty self evident that this country has a massive illegal immigration problem and it’s obvious that some sort of barrier is needed. If there was a barrier right now they wouldn’t even try to make the journey.

I wonder if Democrats have realized yet that as long as the government is shutdown they cannot hold any hearings, so much for all those investigations into Trump. I actually think if the government is able to run just fine without all of those non-essential personnel, then why do we need them?? Why are taxpayers footing the bill for "non-essential" employees who are not mission-critical?? Seems we could save some money by keeping most of the government shuttered so we aren't paying people to do needless jobs

A reasonable plan too, in my opinion. The ball is in Trump's court.

Did you even read their "reasonable plan"? ..... an Omnibus Bill to fund only 6 departments and EXCLUDE Homeland Security. This goes along with their save illegal aliens, punish citizens and Abolish ICE agenda. I don't call that "reasonable".

This is not a democratic party issue.....this is a republican party issue....there are not enough votes in either chamber....on the republican side.

Only 25% of Americans believe "the wall" should even be discussed in terms of government shutdown or budget......so that's your answer.

EITHER 75% of Americans are Democrats (I really doubt it) or The Wallers are a tiny minority. Pick one.

Happy New Year - things may get better soon as Trump self-implodes and is defanged by Nancy.

So, to the 50% of the people who would wait until 2020 to reopen the government because they refuse to support even a dime for the border wall: Do you understand that the essential workers and contractors in the 9 Cabinet Agencies who don't have a budget won't work for free forever? And do you think the work of the non-essential workers are not needed?
