Trump pretty much says what everyone was saying in the fellowship hall after church when I was growing up in the 90s and 2000s. That is why he's so popular. These people have overwhelming hatred for anyone who doesn't embrace WASP social norms, isn't heterosexual, and isn't the "right kind" of Christian.
When I was growing up, the preacher at my church said in a sermon that it was a sin to support the San Francisco 49'ers since San Francisco was a 'city of sodomy.'
These people stereotype and paint entire places they hate with a broad brush. To them, California is a disgrace to the country.

This. There's a lot of states in just as bad of a shape as CA...
Yet... he doesn't call those other states a disgrace to the country. I guess the fact that CA is trying to make him disclose financials has nothing to do with it..
Make no doubt about it. I have alot of concerns regarding California. As a teenager I thought about moving to California alot (I still live in Georgia). I wanted to get away. As I got older I see that California has alot of issues. California could do alot better than it is. On the other hand, I can also tell that this is about promoting political division. As you say, other states, run by both Republicans and Democrats are having alot of problems.

How screwed up do you have to be to stay in a constant state of rage over places where most of you have never lived or have never been, and/or over people that you will never know?

Once again, President Trump is correct. Conditions on the streets of LA and SF are far more inhumane than what is happening at the border and nobody there cares.

But what about the Okie part of California, the Central Valley? Bakersfield went 53% for Trump.

Yeah that part of California can be rather conservative, considering the state. I have relatives there and they like Trump a lot. I always think it's kinda fun they even have sort of a soft Southern twang there still. We didn't have that down in Southern California.
