I care about this bc a) it’s pandering and that irks me, b) it encourages and normalizes immoral behavior, and c) we have now seen what starts with a rainbow logo become something much more insidious, and I will not support any of it at this point.
Only way I would still patronize these places is if I had no practical alternative.
No one can be pushed into being gay. Thats just not reality. You are born the way you are. But they are being pushed into being heterosexual even if they aren’t…because this is what is expected from them.
Odd, there were entire societies of people in ancient Greece and other places that were open to gay sex. Doesn't sound like born that way to me?
I'm not one to boycott a business cause I don't agree with them or their policies. Unless Target requires me to wear a Pride shirt, I'll still shop there.
Having lived in SF for 15+ years, I have no problem with gays, pride or anything else, and would not hesitate to go to any place of business where the owners/managers or anyone else was gay or into pride month.
People are people and everyone deserves to be treated with civility.
I don't want to do business with ANY company (if it can be helped) that has a political agenda I don't agree with. If people start taking a stand perhaps some things will change!
It does not effect me in any way. I have been around gay people my entire 60 years of life and I have only known one trans person by first name. Why should I care what a store does for it's bottom line. If they have something I need or want I will purchase it. If you don't want a pride T-shirt do what millions of folks do every year and not buy it. Same goes for books.
The stores are learning the hard way how pandering to any one group is affecting their bottom lines. Do I care? Not really, but if you are going to shove your politics or social engineering on me, I’m going somewhere else.

People who try to influence children into recieving Hormone treatments, which lead Sexual genital mutilation should be treated like the scum they are. If Pride made the decision to push this on children they should be thrown into the same pot as the freaks that invented this surgery in the first place.
