Bet you none of the founder's of the Constitution would be OK with sexual re-assignment surgery on children?

Funny thing is, sexual genital mutilation is horrendous, but all you have to say is I'm changing into the opposite sex, and you are beyond being questioned for your motivation.

Even living in SF all those years in the past, I've *never* seen anyone trying to influence children into being trans, gay, or anything else. And if it existed, that would certainly be a place to find such things.

People are people and everyone deserves to be treated with civility.
And guess what I agree with you. If a person is gay, lesbian, or whatever I could care less. I have never once asked an employee or shop owner if they are gay or straight.

But civility and respect are a two-way street. If certain groups want respect, then they must also give respect.

But this is the problem. We aren't talking about "influencing", we aren't talking about people being "scared" that seeing these things is going to "turn" someone gay. The fact is that there are a lot of parents who just don't want their kids exposed to certain things at a young age. Has nothing to do with how pro/anti they are.

But somehow a very small percentage of the LGBTQ community, and IMO it's mostly the T, has seemed to make it their mission to continue to push it on the young. Until the point that one subgroup came in, everyone seemed to at least be able to coexist.

Yes, but won't go to extremes to avoid it.

I don't seem to find sexual genital mutilation protected anywhere in The Constitution.

It is likely that you didn't see it, because you chose not to see it. We call that willfully ignorant of the facts.

Sure you can. In fact, many studies have shown a connection between environmental factors and homosexuality. What has not been shown is a connection of being born that way. You have it largely backwards.

Moreover, studies show that a child’s first exposure to sex and sexually related things has a huge impact on their sexual health. Yet the left continues to push perverted first experiences for young children. We are raising a generation that will not be sexually healthy. I would argue we are already seeing the results with some gen z.

As far spending money at lgbt places, it depends. If they are advocating for humane treatment that will not have any influence, but if they are offering little boys clothing that can hide the penis and squish breasts, absolutely I will NOT spend money with them. I have not spent a dime at target in about a year and will continue to not spend any money with them.

In the end, you either appreciate and support freedoms, or you don't.

Some understand that freedoms deserve much space. Others want to limit freedoms due to personal pettiness, narrow-mindedness, and political grandstanding. The latter group is an insult to American values and thought.

I'll never understand the point of pride month. Why do you need to announce your sexual preference to the world and why must it be celebrated????

Can I get a straight month please??

I have always tried to separate business from politics and ignore the company's agenda. I will buy from the conservative Hobby Lobby as well as from the liberal Penzey's Spices. I have a gay brother and two gay brother in laws. I can easily ignore a religious sign or book at Hobby lobby, or a display of rainbow merchandise at Target or Walmart. I do record most TV shows and watch later so that I can fast-forward through commercials, especially now that some are showing affectionate gay couples.

There is a gay church around the corner that had rainbow stairs. Some moron came by late at night and painted over them because of hate. The community came together and restored the stairs. One hater vs a whole town. The outrage on our web page was overwhelming in support of the church. They aren't hurting anyone. Leave them alone.

I think that's a reflection of most of us, but it's a minority with the biggest megaphone taking the stage now. Lets just kick them to the cub and put them back in the fringe where they belong.
I think the percentage of Americans, at least those who understand why we sent boys and girls to die for freedom, have no problem with pride month or Juneteenth or St Pattys day. Only a few unhappy people look to destroy other’s liberties. We always have them and the politicians rile them up to make headlines. Eventually they never act on any of it, and they are on another quest.
If they want to go protests at the surgeons office who performs sex changes on children, go for it, otherwise write your congressman and leave people alone!
