Also, not so much American history, but a fine man, nonetheless: James Earl Jones. His character portrayals are so believable, so real, it's hard to imagine he only plays a role in a movie, theater, skit. I have no idea of his politics, and frankly I don't care either. I don't watch him for that, but for his acting ability. And he was born in Arkabutla, Mississippi, my home state.
kind of ironic. we have a federal holiday for him, but he hasn't been mentioned yet. he did many good things, but doesn't rank up there as the greatest for me.
