Too bad I'm not that clever and don't want to cheat the system.... maybe if I had gone to college by getting government grants and scholarships, I could have become a doctor and stolen my meds!!! Too bad my parents make too much for me to qualify, even though I've been on my own since I was 17... damn.

I myself am disabled by a drunk driver, with no insurance. I had to spend my own money, to pay hospital bill, doctor bills, etc., etc. Till that point, I was fairly well off. My home is paided off, bills all caught up, paided when they came in. Now stuck on SSDI I make about 1/3 of what I was.

This is one reason NOT to drink and drive. To drink and drive is plain stupid.

You are right when you say, there is no excuse for being poor!!

I can't sepak for everybody, but I chose to be poor because I chose to not produce crap and not buy crap and not be a slave to the rich. So I live modestly, within the means that I am afforded with casual employment doing things I enjoyed doing. I had a lucky two years, in which I earned what would be about the median income at the time, and I saved most of that, assuring me I would never again have to live from payday to payday. I have received no public assiatance, although I now get back the SS that I paid for.

I chose to be poor, and if I had to do it over again, I would do it the same way. I think I have made all the right choices and I have no regrets.

the truth really kills you doesn't it? you don't like the fact that puppet boy obama takes his marching orders from mighty moveon. this is probably why his campaign accused everyone else of going negative, but did not denounce moveon for the negative attack ads they made. don't bite the hand that feeds you.

Considering the source I'm not surprised. The hypocrisy of you telling anyone else to take the blinders off isn't surprising either.

I bet if I went by your definitions, I would be poor. I don't have cable or a cell phone. I have what I need to live. too many people out there think that everything is a right. I got bad news for americans. you aren't entitled to jack ***** in this country except life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. happiness is NEVER a guarantee, no matter how much barack obama tells you about his new department of happy.

The truth kills me? What would YOU know about truth?

I said it before and I'll say it again. Your statement that I somehow support moveon is a BLATANT LIE which to most makes YOU a LIAR.

If you're going to start making accusations TRY getting some FACTS first!

I didn't say that. don't put words in my mouth. I said you support a moveon puppet. no matter how you try to spin it, your candidate is a politician that works for moveon. he's a coward. mccain works for the weirdo religious people, and obama works for the environmental doomsday extremists.

1. Why would you want to accept handouts?

2. Why does one NEED to be rich? If your basic needs of food and shelter are met, why do you want MORE?

Try again.

hahaha! you would be quite shocked at what is considered a need in todays society. air conditioning, hot water, a car, a cell phone, internet access, cable TV, money for beer and smokes. these are all considered needs to people now.
