It was a "litmus test" for Scalia and Thomas, certainly. Only slightly less people in America are in favor of the decision being the woman's to make; are
you implicating that these people don't deserve representation? Regardless of
Judge Sotomayor's personal beliefs, Roe v Wade will not be overturned.

Oh please, the fact that Sotomayor is a member of the National Council of La Raza, an organization that champions the cause of "the race" (gee, the name is even racist) at the expense of all others, says SHE is a racist.

Just like Barry to pick her... doesn't surprise me.

There are two key issues when conservatives like Limbaugh don't care if a judge is an activist:

1. When they agree with them.
2. When they're trying to get out of a traffic ticket.

I am pro-choice.

I hope she doesn't get in if she's not. I still support liberalism in general.

I am pro choice and I don't have a problem with her. If she turns out to be pro life I would still expect her to act for the good of the country and not some personal bias.

The topic isnt Rush, and his opinion of Stotomeyer... This is how many times a liberal has tried to change the topic...

Ahh, see thats the issue with conservatives, she has already claimed that personal bias is how she rules, and history proves that with her cases being overruled..

Now because the issue turns to abortion, then you magically expect her to follow the "rule of law"..

I heard the President's (not the guy I voted for) stance on abortion, and it exactly matches with mine...that abortion should be legal, but a private matter, rare, and discouraged. It makes sense that his choice of this judge might reflect his views.

Missed the nuance? Let me explain.

It really doesn't matter if a judge is, in her personal life, pro-life. What matters is if that judge is, in her professional life, anti-choice. I only care if a judge doesn't believe the Constitution grants a woman the right to make her own choices about her body, nothing more.
