Insurance companies have had their chance. It's too late.

I trust government more than I do insurance companies. They are the biggest whores around.

The government doesn't want reform to cure the problem. The government wants reform to gain power.

One physician's view shows the pervasive propaganda.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...T2009090403390

If you look at his list of points, you don't see the inherent framework and foundation behind them. You do not see the government's role in creating the monopoly, scarcity, and expense of hiring care. You do not see the socialist tax burden that increased the parasitic load that the patient had to pay to the care giver and supplier.

Physician's view on health care reform:
1. Private insurance companies escape real regulation.
2. We urgently need tort reform, but it's nowhere to be seen.
3. "Prevention" won't magically make costs go down.
4. Reform efforts don't address our critical shortage of health-care workers.
5. We need more primary-care physicians -- but we also need specialists.
6. We have to streamline drug development and shake up the Food and Drug Administration.
7. We can't fund health-care reform by cutting payments to doctors.
8. We can't forget about research.
9. Cutting reimbursements could shut some hospitals down.
10. We need to improve the quality of care.

In contrast to his points, and "government run health care", let us consider REAL UNIVERSAL health care - which means everyone can care for anyone.
[] Decriminalize giving health care;
[] Decriminalize the trade and possession of medicine and equipment;
[] Expand opportunities for medical education;
[] Offer credentials by government supervised examination, regardless of where or how one learned medicine; and
[] Eliminate tort abuse with "Satisfaction guaranteed, or your money back!" - - - and nothing more.

And for those found to be criminally negligent, prosecute!

Otherwise, restore FREEDOM and FREE CHOICE to health care.

And while we're at it - stop taking tax money, to give to care givers.
Just stop taking taxes from care givers who do not charge their patients.

But such a workable system will never be considered, since it removes revenue and power from those who have it now, and gives it to the people.

He's not a tool of the ins cos or Big Pharma.
Really now? What was that deal he made with big pharma? They would support him with a $150 Ad campaign if he would agree to limit how much they had to give up on prescription drug prices. The deal had the figure at $80 million, a mere pittance when talking about pharma profits.

Read that article above about Reich and his thoughts on obama getting in bed with pharma, after he savaged them continuously on the campaign trail. the man truly has no shame.

Default The Public Option is DEAD and DEAD FOR GOOD

You liberals have 60 seats in the senate and 255 seats in the house, THE most liberal U.S. Senator of recent time in the White House and you still can't pass the Public Option.

Which means guess what? IT WILL NEVER happen or at least not anytime in the foreseeable future.

The chance would have been now and it has slipped away. And come 2010, the liberals hold on power will begin slipping as the Republicans start to pick up seats. Mark my words.

Does anyone disagree?

But, but Harry Reid still thinks it is alive and well.

Shows why he is losing his own job soon.

He has no clue as to what the majority of Americans want and wanted to jam this down out throats behind our backs.

Go ahead Harry, cook your own goose please.

The sad part is both parties have nothing in common with the average American. the two party system seems to be broken. Both have lost their moral authority to govern.

People celebrate the alleged demise of the Public Option.

Is there any better indicator of the dumbing down of America?
