America lasted longer than a new nation is expected to, but boy it is something to take down a republic with 216 votes. Who would have thought this could happen. Now I guess we will see how strong our constitution really is. If our constitution is strong, these illegal actions will not stand.

You negated my post because you did not like the source and now you admit the very thing that my post stated because I supplied a link to an article that was impossible to refute. Do you think that your credibility has been tainted a bit?

BTW, OP...it really would have served you better to admit from the beginning that the movement was hijacked and that you were annoyed with that, but still sided with its original agenda. That would have showed integrity.

Can you explain to me in what way the passage of HCR takes down the republic?

So now the OP and similar minded people like Rush Limbaugh will leave, right?

Good.

I don't think so. I think the 46% of idiots in this country will stick with him regardless. Those who have caught onto his regime are already against him. He'll legalize illegals, thus giving himself a whole new base of voters. In other words, he'll steal the next election, ala Hugo Chavez style.

Like you gave a crap what I had to say anyways? I said I know there are neo cons yer trying to say there was "neo nazis" infiltrating them as well which is bs. I still don't see the point of your posting the link or was it just to try and discredit people?

So, if someone needs an explanation of the relativity of HCR to the collapse of the government is it really worth the effort to explain?

Well, other than to say Civics 101

Here's what truly amazes me. Not too many years ago, people in England boarded a rickety boat and set sail for a completely unknown world. They knew they faced possible death on the voyage, and starvation and hardship in the new land.

They entered America with only what they could put on the boat. They started from nothing and built communities, churches, stores, and schools. They left because they wanted to be free from government intrusion in their lives. What would they think of this?

Our country was built on individual responsibility. On hard work. On a frontiersmen spirit. Those people didn't expect the government to feed them. To build them houses. To provide for their health care.

What has happened to our country? How have we lost that rugged individualism. That work-ethic. That prevailing belief that without our freedom, we have nothing.

I'm not fatalistic. I truly believe this may be the wake up call. If you drop a frog into boiling water, he'll jump right out. If you put a frog in cold water and slowly turn up the heat, he'll stay until he dies. He doesn't realize what's happening around him. That's what I think has happened in our country. I hope people are waking up. Based on what I saw in DC yesterday, they are!

No, if you don't know already, there is no way to explain it in a way you could understand. You are the frog in the water that is slowly getting hotter.

So what was it in 1935? I'm sure you know that correlation does not equal causation.

You know, I know, from stories my mother has told me, that life was very difficult during the depression. If some of these social programs had not been enacted, people would literally have died of starvation. I'm not moved by stories about how the economy was recovering on its own and the govt. should have had a "hands off" policy. Tehse socal programs helped maintain an intact society.
