Personal insults are both lame and tired, I agree. As far as the Ambien, you know what you can do with that.

When you don't have one single Republican vote. When you have lots of Democrats voting HELL NO. And when you have to engage in sleazy back-room deals and threats, you have a big problem.

Most of the country is against this bill. Not just the tea-party folks. Not just the Republicans. Not just right-wing conservatives. Any American who has even the most basic, high school level understanding of civics and law understands that this bill is unconstitutional. You cannot force individuals to purchase goods and services. Read the commerce clause.

Read the Tenth Amendment. Powers not delegated to the U.S. by the Constitution are reserved to the states. Read it again if you don't understand it. Do the research. Study the case law. The Supreme Court is probably giddy in anticipation of hearing this case. There is zero chance this will be allowed to remain a law. Zero.
The Supreme Court can also be denied jurisdiction. Oh, YES..

After the mess of the 2000 presidential election, they won't be eager to get involved.

America has moved, just like Social Security in 1935, Medicare in 1965, and now Health Care Reform in 2010. If you don't like, register your complaint in the next election, but it won't change anything about the passing of this bill.

It seems that some people are angry that Democrats had the nerve to take advantage of their majority and actually pass legislation. Please. If Republicans had been in control, they wouldn't have given a second thought to passing whatever they wanted to.

How is spending even more than Bush was "progress?" Or forcing government-run "health care" which the majority of people don't want?

He is an entertainer, and he gets great ratings, but that is about it. If legalizing hemp and welfare for all became the cry of the Republican party Glenn would be wearing a Hemp skirt and talking about how psyched he is about his food stamps...and how dare the Dems take it away. It is entertainment, nothing more.

So melodramatic! This conservative is getting sick and tired of the dramatics and negativity.

It should be. Its largely ignored now anyway. Its outdated. It doesn't state the stuff about how a government can rip off its own people. The founding fathers would never have condoned todays US, or Obama even.
