Push comes to shove, they had to make an example of someone to send a bigger message. Considering the number of arrests just on their team, message should have been sent several months ago.

"Knowing what the stakes were going in, if somebody can make two really bad errors in judgment, bad decisions, in that short period of time, what would they do during a big game?" Schwartz said. "What would they do when the stakes were just as high?"
Weren't there two players arrested twice already this summer before Berry? Seems a bit odd to throw him under the bus.
When veteran players started commenting to the press they didn't like seeing all the comments, how embarrassing it is, the team finally does something. Talk about closing the door after the animals get out, how about strict action after the first incident???
I'm not typically a fan of Drew Sharp but I found this article from today's Free Press to be worth a read. Nothing too extensive or eye opening but he goes into expectations, reality, team shortcomings and some observations about the game against the Browns.
