I've always felt that Baltimore folks had that little brother complex as well! Especially back in the day when the Redskins were good. I grew up in Montgomery County too, Silver Spring off Georgia Avenue. Good ol' Einstein High School.

I left DC in 2000, so I never experienced much of the Redskins/Ravens DMV rivalry. From what I'm told, pretty much everything north of PG County up to the Deleware border is all Ravens territory. We have family in Aberdeen/Havre De Grace and they're all die hard Ravens fans. My uncle openly admits that he was a Redskins fan until B-more got a team LOL.

I left the DC area before the Nationals existed, so I'm still a hardcore orioles fan. But other than that, the city of Baltimore could slide down into the bay for all i care.

Macroy:

I don't see the skins moving out of the beltway area either. Like you said though, most Washingtonians seem to be transplants, so I'm not sure how much of a fan base the Redskins actually have in the district. I know back in the glory days, DC was all about the Redskins.

But, for argument sake, if the Redskins ever did decide to cut ties with MD or even DC, VA would be their best option. For the most part, the entire state is pro Skins. But for now, the stadium is in MD and will be there for awhile longer.

Gaithersburg here!! Just off of 270, exit 10 to be exact! Woot.. woot... Quince Orchard High School. But I moved away in 1991!! I moved back to that area as an adult in 06 but it was very short lived and was in Northern Virginia... Manassas area.

Walt Whitman HS here! Albeit I did live in G-burg as a youngster - just down the street from Watkins Mill (before it was even there, actually).

Born in DC, living in HoCo MD right now, where its about 70/30 Ravens/Skins.

I will say this though: M&T bank has had a good, rowdy atmosphere full of real football fans for a while now, whereas in recent years I've become a bit disgusted by the "corporate fans" taking over FedEx, who just get the tickets from their cushy job, show up and check their phones the whole time during the game, or just sell their tickets to away fans.

Now that D.Hall is gone (thank God!), do any of the free agent DBs intrigue you guys? Dashon Goldson maybe?

^^ LOL.

Brandon Meriweather restructured as well, saving the skins just under a million dollars ($940,000)
