lol..that must explain why I attract a lot of jerks too as I'm not one to fall all over anyone. I know you can't make them love you. I guess what I meant by that is you feel like you have to beg for their love and affection and since obviously that doesn't work and is pathetic and also does not make any sense at all, I don't want a bad boy.

Like I said, people talking behind my back is only one reason. I also am truly attracted to hot girls.
This is why this subject is beaten to death. The 'nice guy' is obsessed with getting the hot chicks his bad boy friends get. You just want to be able to hit it like they do. The very fact that you care about getting with 'hot chicks' rather than finding a good girl proves you are not the nice guy you proclaim to be.
You are no different than the 'bad guy' except you don't have the game or sex appeal to attract superficial women. Hot & dumb attracts the same and neither are mutually exclusive. There are hot men/women out there with a brain who expect the same from a partner. However, if you are only focused on the dumb bimbos your bad boy friends get for 5 minutes a nite you are wasting your time on something that is not even valued by the bad boy. He hits it and leaves so why be so jealous? Even if he sticks around a bit, why be jealous of the woman dumb enough to want him? You want to save her? Grow up. There are attractive, intelligent women out there with standards. Instead of moaning maybe put some energy into finding them. Why you can't see them or want to know them says more about you than women in general.
I wouldn't mind having a girlfriend eventually, but for now I think I need to work on my people skills with girl friends.
Just practice talking to girls when you're out and about. I talk to people everywhere I go even though I'm shy for the most part. I guess working retail for 3 years has forced me to find ways to engage people in some way. You can do the same, without the retail job of course .
Yeah, I will try talking to women more often in more friendly situations. I suppose it helps to have some more interests. I am hoping to go hiking more often by next summer.

I love hiking and I know lots of very pretty girls who do the same. I bet its the same deal in CA! Don't be creepy, just be cool and a good friend and you're good
