Why is it every time someone is single it's their fault?
I'm not saying that it isn't, but I've just noticed that that's the case.

Well, we're talking about a guy who is 45, dates a lot, can't get a second date, and wonders what the problem is with women. I'm putting odds on him having the majority of the problem here.

I hear you. The fact is we don't know why the OP is single. People tend to downplay this, but I believe that the environment you're in plays a huge part in how successful some are in dating.

It would seem that way, but we haven't seen this person on a date. There are probably a number of factors at play including but not limited to his behavior on dates.

I think it's the "Sizzler for a meal" that's the problem. You don't have to go to a 5-star restaurant but "Sizzler" for a first date would have made me run the other way back in my dating years. Isn't there some place a bit funkier or more interesting you could go?

Op look at the way you treat woman.
Do you listen to a lady? Compliment her? Good conversation? Show interest in things she is interested in? Are you a know it all? Are you condescending? Are you arrogant? Cheap? Male chauvinistic? Are you light hearted? Think of others? Honest? Know how to socialize? Do you know how to make her feel wanted? Make her realize she is special? Know how to kiss? Good informative? Act sexy?

Exactly. Given that I'm 49, we have lots of single 40ish women friends in our lives, so we hear their dating stories. All of them, even though their are intelligent and attractive, would practically kill to go out on a date. So I'm trying to imagine what this guy is doing to have women say, "I'll pass."

I didn't even know Sizzler was even still around! LOL!

Who else would you blame?

The common denominator in all of my failed relationships (or lack of relationships) is always going to be me.

This doesn't mean that every single person who genuinely desires companionship will be in a relationship at all times during their lifetime.

For the perpetually" single who complain about their lot in life? There are usually some underlying reasons.
