I once had a man "steal" my umbrella at the grocery store. I was walking out and this guy just came over, took it, and then said "If you want this back, you'll have to go out for ice cream with me."
For some reason, it really creeped me out. Even worse was he wouldn't give it back when I said I was already seeing someone (I was). Awkward...
I guess he just wanted to seize the moment, but had I been single, striking up a conversation in line or something would have been a lot better.
Got any xxx in you? (Black, Italian.... ) when you respond no, they say "want some?" Seriously. Lame. I know a guy who would say nice dress. It would look better on the floor at the end of my bed. He claimed it actually worked.
I don't know if it's considered lame or just disgusting, but a guy once came up to me and said "you have a nice rack." He was nice enough to offer to buy me a drink after, but it was all down hill from there. I was at a bar, though, so it's expected.
Fortunately my 6'3, 250lb friend Tony came over at that moment and said, " Baby, let's go home." He saved that guy from having his nuts connect with my foot.

"For some reason"?! That's really creepy. You could've/should've called security. But not all groceries have security, I guess. But there are serious boundary issues in his m.o.
One guy approached me and asked for the digits. I told him no because I had a significant other at the time.
His reply: "sometime or all the time"
My reply: "Sometime or all the time what?"
His reply: "is he your man sometime or all the time"
I just looked him dead in the eye and squinted my eyes at him for about 5 seconds as if to say "who aaaaare you?". But said nothing, turned around, and walked off. I guess he got his answer.
The lamest follow up question I ever heard. Very unsmooth of him. Very.
When I was in my 20s a New Orleans police car screeched over directly alongside me, while I was walking around the French Quarter and an officer jumped out and stood in front of me and said "You're under arrest for attracting the attention of a police officer," and asked for my phone number.
