Probably for the best. I am sure she will soon find a more thoughtful man to make a solid family with and you and your frisky coworker can have the sex-centered life you prefer. Win win.

It would be nice if you learned something from this but somehow, I doubt that is the case.
^^^This. I had a friend in a similar circumstance (not the suggestion of a threesome) but that her husband could not grasp that having a baby completely changed the dynamic of the household. Who are these guys who seem to have no clue how a baby changes your life and your responsibilities? My friend was just like every other mother caring for an infant, yet she had a husband who didn't contribute but sat around whining and pouting because the baby's needs came first, he didn't get all the attention anymore, and his wife was exhausted, yet he barely lifted a finger to help ease any of it.
Fortunately my friend is remarried to a man who is aware that he is not the father but treats that little girl as if she were his own, better than her selfish and bitter father.
With any luck, the kid won't remember him at all and a real man will sweep her off her feet and adopt him.
That's exactly what will happen. I have seen it a hundred times.
