Thank you. For some reason that made me LOL...like I found the thoughtful posts here useful and then BAM! A few words say it all LOL.

I appreciate the validation even though I know I can't control other people behaviors and whatnot.

I'm surprised I'm handling it so well actually. I had a breakup not too long ago (unhealthy relationship but we were so addicted to each other) and I appreciate this guy even more because he was so consistent and steady. I never questioned anything, just always felt balanced and sane, no agendas, just genuine. The older I get the harder it is to find decent people to be friends with that have free time. Oh well.

Magpie, has your friend been active on social media? Do you two have the same circle of friends, if so has anyone else heard from him. I'm only asking bc things happen all the time that we may not be aware of.

I'm sorry, you are right, that was asked previously.

No, we do not have the same circle of friends. We became friends sort of accidentally and had no plan for it to go on so long really. He isn't active on social media nor am I much. Once in a blue moon he will post but generally he is introverted (as am I) and we do not need a lot of social interaction (with each other or others). Meaning, being quiet isn't weird for us, especially with his schedule and for me when I'm in the midst of super busy projects or illness.

That was a good thought. That would bug me more probably, if he was posting and busy and happy and I was ignored. I see he read my texts so I know he is alive with working fingers.
