How much of a difference does balding make when you consider dating a guy? Does it make him a lot less attractive to you?
I’ve never really asked, but I’ve been wondering about this a lot lately. I’m 27, and in the last year I’ve had thinning (only around the crown area) and a small bald spot has appeared. I'm in great physical shape and I've been told I'm handsome by women in my life - but I don't feel nearly as handsome anymore. It’s just starting to really get to me and I find myself wearing a baseball cap almost always except when I’m at work or sleeping.

Balding would not bother me unless you had a rug or......a combover . I'd run from a combover. Besides looking dumb, it actually calls attention to the bald spot. It would make more sense to tatoo your head the same color as your hair to make it less noticable.
Actually, having a rug or combover MIGHT make me reconsider dating a guy. I like men who keep their balding heads cut shorter and just let things happen naturally. It is much more sexy to me.

That's what I started doing, instead of cutting my hair shorter, I changed to a curly style so that the thinining area would be less noticable.
BTW: once I made that adjustment, I started making it to the 2nd date-lol
It makes me feel a lot better knowing that to *most* women it does not make much of a difference. The strange thing is that it is only on my crown, not on any other parts of my head, which is opposite for most guys beginning to lose hair. I'd feel really out of place with a shaved head, so that's not an option for me. Neither would using any kind of a wigs be.
I'd rather just keep good hygiene, stay in a good shape, keep my hair nice and control what I can. I'm rather young looking for my age anyway.
Thanks for the responses again. If a girl rejects me because of a bald spot, she's not worth my time. That sad thing is that I know many people, both men and women, who demand physical "perfection" from the opposite sex to even consider giving them half a chance with dating. A little thinning hair, a few extra pounds, one pimple here, two gray hairs there - then you're out. Then they wonder why they wonder why they have been single for so long...
