How about you? Would you date someone who had a lesser education than you, or no?
I married someone with no college degree. He is one of the most intelligent people I've ever known.

A great woman will support and encourage her man to be what he wants to be, love him for who he is. Only when he feels accepted and loved for who he is, he will strive to be better. My husband was inspired by my college education and went and got certified in something he is now very passionate about and very good at.

Some very talented and intelligent people I know don't have a college degree.

For me, dating "up" means dating someone who can teach me things about life that I don't know or teach me how to be kinder, more patient, more tolerant...not what degree he has. That's just SILLY.

.......because college is not for everyone. Some people succeed in life just fine without it, while some people who went to college, racking up tens of thousands of dollars' worth of student loan debt went on to do absolutely nothing with their degrees.

I understand that people have "standards", especially when it comes to dating, but looking down on someone just for not having a certain piece of paper is rather silly.

Yeah, he was worthless. His father should have pulled out.

Of course everyone should have the opportunity to go...that's not even in question. "the rule" thing is what I don't get. Many electricians and iron workers make 2 or 3 times what a teacher makes with no college education. I'm just saying, "the rule" may be messing with your dating life.
