Of course everyone should have the opportunity to go...that's not even in question. "the rule" thing is what I don't get. Many electricians and iron workers make 2 or 3 times what a teacher makes with no college education. I'm just saying, "the rule" may be messing with your dating life.
Many truck drivers make a damn good living too....no degree required.
Come to think of it, if I ever find myself unemployed, I'd consider becoming a truck driver.
BTW, I do think teachers are generally underpaid and under appreciated though.

Teachers in my opinion don't really do all that well money wise, considering the education level they have. Some of the union trades do a lot better.
Not ragging on teachers, I thought about becoming one. Matter of fact I posted on it a while ago.
as a single person, i make a modest salary with a master's degree, a bachelor's, and i have 2 credentials (soon to be 5).
if i were to have kids, i would need my husband to make a lot more than me! most districts wont pay the health insurance for kids. they will usually have you pay into it, but its a lot!

i dont see people that went to college being any more intelligent than someone who didnt. i just respect someone going to college as a discipline and a growing experience.

I agree, too me the college education shows some discipline and also the fact that they can "learn."
We usually hire guys from Cal Poly Pomona, they have some really good engineering programs. Highly respected.
I've only ever dated men with a higher level education.
How about you? Would you date someone who had a lesser education than you, or no?
My s/o having at least college education is very important to me. Not being well educated is an important deal breaker to me. But before anyone calls me an intellectual snob, my ex hubbie and two of my ex boyfriends didn't make it to college. So I've given under educated men a chance, but never ever again.
Men that are not intellectual bore me after a few years. Of my three exes, they all loved me a lot and I ended up breaking their hearts badly when I left them. I just don't want to do that dance again.
I hugely prefer to date someone who has been to college. I think there is a lot of very intelligent people that don't go, but I find that college makes for a much more open mind in people. I suppose it does depend on the courses you take but I can say for sure that I have a much more open mind than I did before college. And it is that open mind that allows for some really intelligent debate and banter which I love in a partner.
This sounds like something a liberal would say. Who cares what type of education you have? Liberal college professors try to convince people that only those with an education are worth anything. So far from the truth.
