I don't particularly want my state to establish a state religion. I just don't care, to be honest. It accomplishes little.
I imagine you would be upset if local police started arresting you for your religious beliefs, though. Too bad you'd think you have no leg to stand on to fight it. Luckily your attorney would actually be educated enough in the actual laws of this country rather than the ones you're making up.
That plus the one saying that things congress can't are also the things the states or local governments can't.
No such clause exists. On the other hand, it specifically states that anything not directly spelled out in the Constitution is reserved for the states to do.

Come on, this isn't like the Bible. You don't get to cherry pick which parts of the Constitution you can pretend don't exist.

You sure seem to be showing us how! Every day it's more of the same nonsense. Yesterday you actually used a business website to tell us the Bible has been modified. Yay.
9/13 of the original states had official state religions. Why would they choose to limit state religion?
Despite the SCOTUS making new law on the issue, the founding fathers never intended for that to be law. It's quite simple. You've been explained that, as well.
Why would anyone call you a Dominionist. That'd just be silly.

I keep showing factual issues. Facts. Not opinion pieces from obscure or biased sites. Doncha just love facts?

But no one, you included, disputed the actual information presented. Cool when facts are real, isn't it? The only thing then left for some like yourself is deflection, or opinion.
Which is why I like facts. The can't be argued. Yes, I will post more as they come up. At some point perhaps you will accept them. Others who used to be fundies on this board have come around, and I have great hopes for you also.
Yeah it's a STATE, and guess what, they are not establishing or even endorsing a religion here. We are talking about a matter of physical space here.
Can you put a instructional manual on bomb making? Cmon, how about being realistic here? There's a difference between a Bible and harmful material like porn.
I think you need to read up on what the SCOTUS actually says about these things before posting and making yourself look uneducated on the issue.
Why not? You aren't required to look at it.... What about the Satanist's Bible? What about the Quran? Are they too harmful to have in there? What about the holy books of other religions?

Did someone crap in your Wheaties today, Mystic?
I never said I want to be a dictator, or determine what the owner of a PRIVATELY HELD lodging can provide. I do think that you don't understand what you are foaming at the mouth over though. I'll tell you what I told Jeff, I think you need to read up on what the SCOTUS actually says about these things before posting and making yourself look uneducated on the issue. I also suggest you read Shirina's response to your post as well.
My "ilk" and I are not eroding anything. How is it infringing on anyone's rights to say that a STATE RUN LODGING shouldn't be seen as promoting or endorsing a religion? Are we trying to keep you from bringing your holy book with you? Are we trying to stop privately owned hotels from providing Gideon's? No. It is you and your ilk that need to get a clue. The fact that we are slowing chipping away at your religions choke hold on this country is not a bad thing. In fact, it is GLORIOUS!
Because deep down, you know there is a God and just don't want to admit it yourself.
And his name is Allah. 1.6 billion Muslims can't be wrong.
Deep down you know that Allah is the true God, but you are in a state of rebellion against him, so you deny him and cling to a false god who will forgive your sins for free.
