The part that stands out for me is "he left". Would a loving all powerful god leave in the first place, let alone leaving behind such scant and unverifiable 'evidence'. The 'book' evidence is very much man written, making it somewhat questionable, wouldn't you agree?
That presumes you wouldnt do things that way, if you were God.
You know better how to be God.?
Not lacking in a creditable sense of morality you mean. Which is a sight more than we can say for the god depicted in the Bible.

Given that believers suppose our smarts were given us by God, it follows that the reasoning, based on the supposition that God wants his creation with Him in heaven (though by now I'm beginning to wonder whether the evidence indicates that he is trying to ensure that as few of you buggers get into heaven as possible) suggests a thought process that He would in the course of leaving a course of instructions about how to make it, ensure that it was immune to the sort of doubt and question that gets thrown at it. Otherwise, why bother unless to allow the atheists and scoffers to make such a good case that all but those who have tossed their brains in the skip outside the church will doubt and waver enough to allow God to laugh with delight as He strikes another sould of the list and relishes watching one more soul roasting eternally.
If this is you idea of how the god you worship operates (as the only alternative I can think of to making his Case as watertight as possible) then I can only assume that you worship such a god out of terror of eternal torture rather than for any respectable reason.

It would not take much to be a better god than the biblical god.
I certainly would not do the things the biblical god did.

I coulda sworn y'all said that the Biblical God didn't exist.
How can something nonexistent do anything, let alone be "immoral" or an "idiot"?
Critiquing the morality of the actions of nonexistent entities is what is demonstrative of an "idiot"...to me, anyway.
It's arrogant not to be a mass murderer? Not to condone rape? Not to murder all firstborns?
And let's face it. Biblical God screwed things up big time.
