It makes perfect sense, and so does believing in God. There's that "reason" word again. I've never seen so many afraid to have faith.

Here's some good Bible scriptures to inspire and that speak of what I've been trying to say:

2 Corinthians 4:18
"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

Matthew 6:6 & 17,18 (Jesus speaking, he should know)
"But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."
"But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you."

First you have to prove the bible before you can use it to prove anything. Quoting verses is meaningless until you do.
The definition of faith is belief that does not rely on logic or evidence...So your faith is just your personal belief as everybody else's faith is personal to them, and proves nothing. I spent eighteen years in Christianity, and never had faith that it was all truth. I guess I value logic more than you do.

Yes, it really does get old, though not in the way you're implying. It gets old when you people keep trying to convert the rest of us. It gets old when you keep nattering that all it takes is "faith". It gets old to keep hearing that we're in the "end days" (haven't people like you been saying that for millenia now?). It gets old when someone tells me I should just kill myself because I don't believe in god. It gets old when someone tells me that I have no idea of right and wrong because I don't believe in god. It gets old when someone asks how I can get up in the morning and look at myself in the mirror since I don't believe in god.

It. Gets. Very. Old.

I quit believing in your fantasies when I was about ten or eleven, because I grew up and started using logic and my brain. Face it, your question is as illogical as your religion and your holy book, if you don't want to allow us any "proof" that isn't physical. I wish you all WOULD get raptured. Maybe then the rest of us could catch a break and have some peace and quiet for a change.

I would need not only concrete proof, but also answers to questions like:

what kind of god lets children starve to death, be beaten, raped, hurt, etc? What kind of god allows genocides like Auschwitz, the Congo, Jamestown, and Darfur? what kind of god allows an entire people to be enslaved for 200 years for no reason? what kind of god is so hateful that he/she/it doesn't have tolerance, love and equal justice for gays? what kind of god lets people starve in poverty while others wallow in wealth? what kind of god sees a man beating his wife, raping a jogger, murdering a man and does nothing? what kind of god eschews being seen for over 2000 years yet still expects to be worshiped?

I'd need those answered plus more and some total, irrefutable, concrete proof. Otherwise, I'm happier knowing there is no such thing.

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? " ~Epicurus

If he's all mighty and powerful why can't he show himself?

Do you have a photo, video? Or some other physical evidence?

Or is this another one of those..."oh I looked out the window and saw a few clouds so god came to me and said take an umbrella and guess what it did rain later that day"

Well yes I do have a photo of a beautiful sunset in North Carolina and the video I got of the waterfall and colorful leaves are stunning. God has given me enough sense to keep an umbrella in my car at all times
