Okay, let me see if I can put this right. People say God loves us like we love our own kids. Now, would any parent have a bunch of kids and say, "you do exactly as I say or I will punish you forever by burning you eternally..." And the fact that he put demons and such down here with the kids that he "loves" so much. Wouldn't that be like putting our own kids in a den of lions? Something doesn't add up here.

I like your thinking. I posted something similar to what you are asking last night.
If you want, take a look at my thread that talks about the other prophets that came before Jesus.

Wait...you DON'T put your kids in the basement with the hungry lions? Damn it, that must be where I went wrong. Oh well, I'll just breed more kids. It's what god wants!
God correct His children on earth because He loves them.
YOU decide to be burning in Hell because you chose to reject Him.
Otherwise....give your life to Jesus, and repent from your sins.
Not only will your life change but you'll have everlasting life with God.

God does not send anyone to hell, we all have a choice to make, the people that end their will be there because of their choice. An unloving God would never have sent a way for us to escape eternal hell, Jesus.

God doesn't send anyone to hell? Isn't he the judge? If he's the judge, then it is his decision. You say "an unloving god would never have sent a way for us to escape eternal hell" Well why not just not send people to hell at all?

No God does not send people to hell, they will go there because they made the wrong choice, they have rejected the free gift of eternal life. God does not force Himself on anyone.

"You don't have to accept me, but if you don't you'll burn in agonizing pain for eternity!"

It has to do with the size of the offense. God is immeasurable and eternal. An offense against him is likewise immeasurable.
