Why is it that creationists say that atheism is illogical because something can't come from nothing? Neither atheism nor science say we came from nothing. They say we don't currently know how the universe began.
Because when we look around we see order, which suggests design, which suggests a Creator. It actually gets a bit more detailed than this and there are other reasons but this should be enough to get those who are absolutely sure there is no higher power agitated.
My question remains the same. Why do Atheist, those who are certain there is no God, spend so much time and energy focused on something they “don’t believe in”?
Theists realized the irrationality of their beliefs, they want to say "everyone is in the business of irrational faiths". Religion's explanation on the origin of universe is: there was nothing, then God created everything (leaving some logical gaps of if there was nothing, where is God?). Then they heard the "Big-Bang Theory", they want to say: "Scientists are illogical too. A 'Bang' created everything!"
No, before the "Bang", the universe was in plasma state, not "nothing".

Your last paragraph is good. You're probably rigjht that god and all the superstitions should be ignored.
Because, religion creates delusions among its followers. And that in turn creates wars, terrorism, bigotry, divisions among people ... religion is an evil. That's why.

My friend you are deluded as well. If you did just a little bit of research you would find that Atheistic governments and leaders have committed some of the worlds most horrible atrocities.
Humans will have bigotry, divisions, wars, terrorism even without religions -- true. However, one less evil is better than one more evil.
Delusion ignores truth. The truth is people of faith are far more likely to help fellow humans in time of need providing hope for their future. Those who follow he Atheists ideology are less likely to provide lasting help because they have little to no hope for a long-term future.
Bud,
Why do so many Atheists spend so much time focusing on something (God) they claim does not exist?
Bud235,
Let me see if I understand you correctly. You believe that any belief that acknowledges a higher power should be eliminated which would include eliminating the people who hold to that belief. Is this correct?
If this is fairly accurate, one must ask; at what point do you stop eradicating people who hold other beliefs that you disagree with? I don’t believe there would be an end to it and a short study of history will prove that to be true.
