I surf to relax not to have everyone rile me up. I just started back up a few years ago and like you, will go out of my way to find a quiet break.
LOL, Amen....same here. I was getting too pi**ed off and that is NOT why I get in the water. I do have some friends that "regulate" the breaks and live for it. I am not one of those anymore. With the law and sue happy people anymore, it can become a problem for someone.

We gotta document this stuff so we don't forget!

They're saying next week's heatwave could push the temperature even higher On a side note, hurricanes need 82 degree water to form and strengthen

Ocean temperature hits 80 at Solana Beach

Went to Scripps Pier yesterday after work and it was perfect. Water was really warm, but the waves were small. Not Florida small, but I guess that's the price you pay to have warmer waters?

Too small for longboarding? I can't believe I am missing out on this....dangit! Enjoy it! I am curious to see what the winter water temps will be.

What's a kook and what is the conflict? Are there rules that people are supposed to follow? Or do some people just push anyone that is in their way at any time?

Looks like ATP helped you. I highly recommend you read it before paddling out anywhere. It'll help you gain respect and not enemies. Yes, some people will push others out of the way that are not adhering to the "rules", spoken or unspoken.
