It believe it got up to about 82 up here. I definitely wasn't comfortable, but it really wasn't that bad unless I was in direct sunlight. Of course if I had it my way, it would never be over 70.

I lived in Seattle for three years. The rain never bothered me but the relentless dark, gloomy days did.
In many west coast cities, after a good rain the sun would come out. Not in Seattle.

This is only in Southern and Central California. Northern California near the coast (Eureka, Crescent City, Fort Bragg, ), Oregon Coast, British Columbia and Alaska are gloomier and colder than Seattle.

Just saw a very BRIGHT blue flash of light out of the window followed several seconds later by a nice roll of thunder. Wasn't expecting that! LOVE lightning/thunder!

So rare around here... really odd (and kind of wonderful) to stand outside at 11pm in 80 degree temperatures with a sudden rainstorm with thunder.

And equally great that it isn't the norm in our glorious summer months.

Lucky you!

I love a nice thunderstorm (although my dogs get all wound up and yappy).

It's been very muggy and sticky here today.

I did just have a quick rain shower - probably lasted less than a minute or two, so I guess that means I still have to do some watering tomorrow.

Whoops. I spoke too soon.

It's raining again.

It rained here for about 5 minutes or so. That was it.

Been listening to thunder all night. Finally went to look out the window. Saw a really bright blue flash then a minute later a bolt of lightning spread across the sky to my northeast. Now I must try sleeping though.
