I watch the Spanish League every season on the telly. Most Barcelona matches are featured. Despite being one of the most talented players in the league, Andres Iniesta is the Prince of Divers. Fact.

Webb should have sent him off in the first half for multiple cases of simulation AND baiting him (Webb) to give a card each time. The image in my mind's eye of this WC Final will be of Iniesta, sitting on the ground, showing the "give-him-a-card" signal to the ref. Too bad his image is $&#* as a result of his diving, rather than his strike that won the game. Fans of Real Madrid, Villarreal, Valencia, Atletico Madrid, Athletic Bilbao, Malaga, and etc. know exactly what I am talking about.

what are you saying dude. Three or four Dutch players should have been kicked out of the pitch due to their violent playing...

Exactly. Even the Dutch media are bashing the team saying they were not deserving of winning. Their own fans are bitching about the conduct of the team.

Difference of opinion, that's all... Bottom line, the better team won but it doesn't change how I feel about that game...

If Robben had scored, as he should have, and the Dutch had gone on to win..you wouldn't be hearing any bashing. It would be all about how the Netherlands had found a way to stop Spain. And they would be congratulated.

This reminds me a lot of the Celtics/Lakers finals tussles in the '80s. The Celtics played a more physical slower style, while Lakers fans and the so called NBA "purists" bashed them constantly, using much of the same launguage you see thrown around about Holland today..

Well, there's more than one way to skin a cat..and I think the Dutch should be commended for their effort, not only on Sunday, but throughout the tournament.

I have always loved the Dutch style... I remember back in the day, watching Dennis Bergkamp, Davids, Seedorf, Deboer brothers, Patrick Klivert and so on.... They have always been entertaining to watch...

As for the Spanish, I have always rooted for them in the past because they always underachieved.. One of my favorite Spaniard players was Raul... Anybody remember him? I think he wore #7.. the dude was a STUD up front!
