If American football was only about throwing a ball...
There are a lot more skills to American football that anyone who hasn't played will understand. Don't be silly.
Hummm, OK, dude threw, someone jumped to get the ball while some overweight guys protected him to be smashed. Very impressive
In the end, each sport has a number of key skills, none of them are easy.
Baseball requires great hand eye coordination, tons of repetition on the field catching, etc.
While American football has a brute strength aspect, there is an intellectual aspect to it also. Skills such as knowing where to block, how to block, how to shed a block, etc take practice.
Soccer also has lots of skill and quick thinking required, just drop an adult on a field with a recreation team and they will look foolish.
I'm just defending American football. Both sports are cool with me.
Cool. I can't make me enjoy American Football and I did try hard for the record. Just not my thing.
