Yeah.. I know I have said it before.. but that site probably represents one of the greatest opportunities to be redeveloped based on the fact it is owned by the City... The City should pursue redevelopment there and move the City shops/yard.. down to the old Sumter Cabinet site on South Lafayette.. I believe it is still vacant.. and likely can be bought for cheap...
I wonder what can be done with the old movies 3 Cinema. I believe It's been vacant for about 20 years now, and that property is not all that easy to get in and out of. That was a bad location and layout from the start. After all this time sitting vacant, you would think it would be easy to sell.
Hopefully it can be repurposed as a dollar store or perhaps even a check cashing/pay-day loan establishment. This town is in dire need of either one of those.

I contacted the Item about doing a follow up piece on McLaughlin Ford, since they did ran the story back in March of 2018. Well, they completely ignored that email, not even a acknowledgement of received. They also talked about the a casket company on N. wise drive in that same article. Every single agency or departments, or businesses have always at least acknowledged they received my email and replied back. But, nothing from these guys.
If there is nothing to report or the idea has shredded, there is no reason to reply.
Maybe, but a little common courtesy wouldn't hurt. I have never contacted a professional organization anywhere, and never received any sort of reply.
