Our area is experiencing a rash of threats and social media rumors that have resulted in an arrest. Are there any copycats in your areas?

Our school has not formally addressed the shooting or reinforced our procedures. I have in my classes.

What are your schools responses? Are your students aware and active?

Yes. One or two in Montgomery County, where a kid was discovered with a gun a few days ago. The school system tried to play it off as a "mistake" until the kid's house was searched and an arsenal was found in his room.

A couple of indeterminate threats where I live.

A couple of arrests in another SoMD County where the kids were making internet threats. Dad was arrested in that one for failing to secure his firearms. Which is problematic for him as he is a FFL holder and owns a sporting goods store. There goes his business.

None in my district as of now. The surrounding counties have had multiples issues and a few children have been charged as well.

I'm annoyed at work right now. I think, I'm take some sick days next week. My principal pissed me off with his handing of a situation involving one of my students today.

Before the Parkland shooting, we had a student threat at the Jr. High. It was reported by a student and the student responsible was arrested for a terrorist threat. Not sure if he actually brought a gun to school, but guns were found at his home.

We've had a lot of arrests for copy cats around here. Today I learned we're actually locking the doors to my school after the tardy bell rings. Anyone wanting to enter after that needs the code or to be buzzed in.

It seems it’s the season for off-peak family vacations. They are leaving left and right.

We don’t actually receive anything in hand or via email.

Our spring break is two weeks away. Then we have ten weeks of school until graduation. We have four more weeks of extended days. (Groan) Plus, I had a fight in my room at the end of the day. I am definitely ready for a break.
