lol, don't fall for that crap. those houses are built so overpriced that no one can afford them. they stay on the market for years

fact of the matter is, Dallas has a few over priced homes that skew the figures while the homes for Sale in Houston are consistent.

while you will find many multi million dollar homes in River Oaks on sale, in Preston Hollow you just see spikes.

Over priced cheese thats all

You Dallas folk need to see the real Houston and stop thinking Only Dallas has nice places.

Houston's River Oaks is the original Upscale hood and still the best.

In everything you guys do you assume you are the only ones.

Things that you guys do we have been doing for 100 years.

chill with that.

You guys sound so silly when you say crap like you have nicer neighborhoods like all there is to Houston is Third ward.

I bet all of y'all just got off the greyhound, took a couple of spins around town and think you saw Houston, and then think Preston Hollow is the best thing since sliced bread.

lmao

Goody Goody would run Spec's out of business in Dallas. I know. I've been to Spec's. Spec's = "upscale" = prices higher than the moon

Goody Goody has the goods, and at far lower prices.

Besides, if I want fancy olives, I'll buy them at one of the four Central Market locations in DFW. Soon to be five when CM takes over the old Borders at Royal Lane and Preston Road.

Both are about the same honestly.

Houston may be slightly more liberal because it has historically been a blue collar town vs. Dallas which is white collar.

Dallas certainly has had way more Republican mayors than Houston. Houston hasn't had one since the late 70's & the current mayor is an out in the open lesbian.

High end liquor stores? Really? LOL, you can pay an extra $15 for your handle of booze if you want. Tito's and Gentleman's Jack tastes the same no matter where I buy it. I'm fine sticking with Duncan's.

I just got back from a two week stay in Houston visiting relatives. How do I know that Dallas has nicer neighborhoods than Houston? Well, I have eyes. Houston is too obsessed with what they have -- the biggest medical district, more sporting venues downtown, number of skyscrapers. This often blinds you to what you don't have -- personality. Houston is the blandest big city in Texas, hands down. Nobody outside of Houston cares or even remotely believes you have anything resembling a culture down there. Houston is the capital of sterile blandness. That is why you ultimately lose this debate every time.

HTH, good luck, kthnxgbye.

Houston has way more culture than Dallas will ever have. I thought everyone knew that by now.

Get a real Chinatown/s, Little Saigon, Little India/Pakistan like over on Hillcroft then we'll talk. Sorry your ran down little Korea Town over off of Harry Hines where all the one legged hookers hang out doesn't count. Stop relying on your suburbs so much to make you look so important. If it weren't for Dallas' massive suburbs & Fort Worth there would be no culture in North Texas period.

LOL, no sour grapes. Houston has a lot of good things going for it, Houston and Dallas both have things they do better than the other, but I wouldn't trade living in Dallas for Houston anyday. I couldn't wait to come home.
