Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptors

In fact, police cars sold during municipal auctions are supposed to disclose whether the required retrofit has been performed on the vehicle.
Police cars are 140% more likely to be rear-ended at high speed, and 4 times more likely to be involved in an accident than a civilian car. For the gas tank to explode, it had to be involved in a high speed rear end crash.

Ford retrofitted 350,000 police interceptors with rubber shields and bladders because they are at far more risk. Put another car out there as a police vehicle in the quantity of the Crown Vics, and if not equipped with the bladder and shield you just might see the same thing.

I wouldn't live in Kansas before, or after, a tornado.

It's a recall, not good but it happens. Let's see they gave me a 50$ coupon for my troubles and took care of the problem in 30 minutes. Geez if a company went out of business cause of a recall because of a quality control issue how would GM or Crysler be in business, oh yea 1,000,000,000$ & 1,000,000,000$ & 1,000,000,000$ & 1,000,000,000$ & 1,000,000,000$ & more & more & more 1,000,000,000$ & many more 1,000,000,000 of dollars of your TAX DOLLARS without which they would be completely out of business. Now Toyota will solve this problem without 1,000,000,000 & 1,000,000,000 of tax payer dollar's of that I'm sure.

Yes, I will buy another Toyota.

Why wouldn't I ?

Nothing has malfunctioned on my Toyota. ( nor on the overwhelming majority of Toyotas being re-called. )

I thnik its funny that the big 3 suporters think there vehicles only chance is to down grade totyta rather than the big 3 show they can build reliable vehicles. After seeing UAW members and management say on telvison that they sent out knopw defective vehicles for dealers to deal with;it just confrims the reasonong why people left the big 3. If anyhting that should have put them out of business;and launched a criminal investigation. Why would anyone go back to companies that knowingly sold them defective vehicles;I won't.By all right GM and Chrysler shoud be out of businesss for just that reason;except for the governamnt proping them up.

You've just made a good case for not buying a Toyota.

Under that standard, the Big 3 would have all been shutdown years ago.

Many recalls of defective vehicles came as a result of engineering issues known for years.
