Jon & Kate plus 8 (Reno, filmed, show, house)

Kate is with the kids now...but it will be Jon's "turn" to stay at their house and then it will be him with the kids.


The crew set up the tent for her? Interesting.

She used to practically bite Jon's head off if he acknowledged the filming crew. Of course, on the 5th birthday episode she spoke to the cameras herself (when she did a crappy job of parking the van in the parking lot). When they were in California picking up pine cones, Jon referred to Jen and Kate had a fit.

Maybe I am looking at things totally differently, I don't know. I thought that Kate seemed pretty nice and I think she has a wonderful relationship with her children.

Did you think that the kids are really hip to the camera? I do not see much spontaneity anymore, maybe they are just getting too old.

In the shots of her setting up the little tent, the huge tent is already set up in the background. Later Kate said that the PA's set it up (production assistants?)

Are you watching the same show? She was pretty nice to everyone except her husband, I guess, and that's who 99% of her interaction on the show is with.

Yes, but I saw on the news that he is trying to work out a deal for his own reality show. I don't know if that's true or not, but that's the gossip on the news. I sided with Jon on the fact that Kate is a nasty controlling witch, and I don't know how he put up with it as long as he did. HOWEVER, if he hated being a celebrity so much, and having his life being filmed, why the heck is he doing things that gets him on the news so much, speaks to the paparazzi, and supposedly wants his own show ?

They're both wacky, and irresponsible parents in my book. Yes Kate is FINALLY staying home more with the kids. But she doesn't have a choice. Daddy is gone, she has to rely on strangers to babysit for days on end if and when she goes away to increase her celebrity status.

i thought that she was condescending because she was insecure. she always made snide remarks about jon's appearance and jon's intelligence. she thinks by doing that people will see how smart she actually is! i don't think that secure people feel the need to do that.
