I think its going to be crazy over the weekends. Definitely during the holiday season. I think it won't be as bad in the morning as it will be in the afternoon. As far the short cut through the national harbor, they did create a turn lane but not sure how well that will ease traffic...I don't think it will be pretty during the holiday season (think Tyson's Corner during xmas) but I don't see it being an ongoing problem during the work week.

They added a stop light when turning right to head into Ft. Washington. It is maybe 100 feet from the main intersection...going to be interesting.

Yeah I saw that too. It will be interesting but I am sure that they will reset the timers on all of the lights to optimize the flow. For now it will be in theory and I am sure that they will have to adjust at some point.

Imagine how many people will try to cut through the outlet mall when coming off of 210 to get past the first intersection.

Who's going to go out next weekend for the opening of the outlet mall? Just curious. I'm strongly considering it myself.

Don't know how popular that would be especially during store hours. That parking lot is going to be full. They would also would run the risk of hitting one of the two stoplights at the exit/entrances of the center.

Countdown to November 22nd! Gonna be one hell of a day.....Last day of my gourmet cooking class, Catching Fire hits theaters, and Tanger Outlets opens up! Glad my class is in Capitol Heights because I swear 210's traffic is going to be very heavy this Friday night! If any of guys are going to the Tanger grand opening, remember to beat the crowd! Lol

Default Wal-Mart resumes pursuit of Oxon Hill site

Another article on the Wal-Mart project.......I was surprised to learn that they only have 3 stores in the county and that they were also planning one for Bowie.

I agree with the poster on Washington Post, to say that the site is surrounded by single family homes, is ridiculous. You would have to go pass the high school campus before you get to a house. There are apartments a block down that are closer than the houses.

Secondly, the Bowie site is actually going to replace the one that is currently off of Excalibur Road.
