Casino winner to be announced on Friday, December 20, 2013 in Baltimore.
Since the MGM Site is the favorite site and its at the National Harbor, I decided to post this here.

The Decision: Prince George's casino winner will be selected Dec. 20 - Washington Business Journal

Cool. Thanks for the heads up. I wish it were sooner but I guess we should expect the protests from their decision to begin on the 21st lol.

True. The article states tha the second meeting will be public. Hopefully they will provide the call-in information so that people who choose to listen in can. I am also curious to know how delayed the project is going to actually be. I honestly don't see it opening mid-2016 but stranger things have happened. It would also be interesting to see, if it goes to MGM, what would be the impact on vacancies at the harbor in the time leading up to the opening.

I imagine they are lining up permits as we speak so that they could start construction in Jan. The hotel/spa can probably open first with the Casino opening in 2016. No one said MGM couldn't open a resort before 2016.

Given the scale and attention to detail MGM gives, I don't think the resort/spa will open before 2016. We'll see. They'll have 24+ months to get it done.

True. I also think you have to pad in time for any lawsuits that are filed by the community or protests from bidders that did not win. Another thing to consider is that Baltimore requires a minimum of 30 months between their opening and PG's casino. Since theirs is not scheduled to open until mid 2014, MGM couldn't open until December 2016 at the earliest.

Looks like Tanger is running a bit behind and it is getting close to the wire.
