I am excited to see what they do with the Quality Inn. It says mixed use. Do they mean apartments? Condos? Townhomes like the arts district? There's such low housing stock close to the metro.

The College Park Development Update will resume. The City's economic development person has moved on and the vacancy has not yet been filled. The DSP for the Lidl grocery should be showing up very soon. The Clarion Inn owner purchased the adjacent 0.4 acres of property in March from the University of Maryland's College Park Foundation.

That mixed use diagram looks impressive - I think that is where adelphi said a potential grocery store could go. However who knows what will actually end up at the quality inn parcel, but given the pace of development it is probably 5-10 years away.

I'd guess the new city hall will be the next downtown block to redevelop. Then some parcels of the innovation district. Then maybe the quality inn area. Hopefully one day the CP shopping center..

Anyone have any idea what is planned for the parcel next to marathon deli? Whatever they do they better not disrupt or displace Marathon...

Sooner than that. The JBG retail site says 2019 for the first phase and 2021 for the second phase. That calls for demolition and construction to start within the next 12 months. Which is probably why the owners of Platos is starting another venture across the street at the old auto parts store. They will have to move out of their current space.

Art House is the next development/redevelopment downtown. I'm not sure when city hall will start construction. That seems still a ways off. I haven't seen a DSP or anything.

The CP shopping center should be far behind the Quality Inn space. In the master plan, that block will be mixed use as well.

What space are you referring to next to Marathon Deli?

On page 20-21 of the link you provided (page titled More Amenities and Opportunities) there is a red box on the backside of that retail block - it's a parking lot currently

Does anybody know what's happening to the Exxon station at 6117 Baltimore Ave in Riverdale Park (just south of East-West Highway)? The store windows are papered over, the pumps have been removed, and a chainlink fence is up around the pump area.

Well, it seems the Exxon pumps are back in, the fence is gone, and the store is open for business. Seems they were just doing some maintenance.

I considered buying one of those new town homes across from DeMatha but boy those things are pricey. Nice, but REALLY pricey.
