Chicago's record high is only 2 degrees away from London's wow lame..
The city of Chicago's record high is 5C higher than London's. but yes the city does have lame record highs thanks to the moderating influence of Lake Michigan. A high 46.7C was reached just about 50 miles outside the city limits

Since 1948 we have had one winter colder than an average Chicago winter. That was the brutal winter of 1977.
btw, I'm not using Midway. That airport is smack dab in the middle of neighborhoods with more UHI effect than O'Hare. O'Hare is colder than Midway.
Out of curiosity what is the highest monthly average max reached in Philly or in the surrounding metro area?

Anyway I pick Chicago, colder winters, stormier summers and a better range of temperature. But the heat and humidity is the only downfall of Chicago...
This is a very hard Choice, but I'm thinking maybe .... perhaps Chicago (possibly).
Generally I would go for the milder winter and I do find Chicago winters much too cold. The sunshine difference is quite considerable though, and I'm not sure if I would give up such a big sunshine lead, particularly as London's winter isn't what I would like either.
Chicago, i like very hot and humid summer with thunderstorms and warm heavy short rain on some days.
Very good sunshine hours and 4 seasons, i like Chicago climate.
But the winter in Chicago are terribly cold !
I don't like the long drizzle of oceanic climate (London, Paris...).

Although not all Oceanic climates have long periods of drizzle.
Easy win for Chicago. Its climate is close to what I would consider to be perfection.
Agreed. We have very similar climate preferences. My biggest complaint with Chicago is that bouts of dry heat are unusual. While I like humid heat, I'd want a more even distribution between humid and dry heat.
That being said, my list of complaints regarding London's climate would be too long to bother posting it.
Yeeaaah. Chicagooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, chicagooooooooooooooooooooo, a toddalin town, toddalin town,,, nah nah nah
