We will end up below average this month. To show you how much more erratic our springs can be, we managed 4 days at or above 27C/80F with a maximum high of 84F/29C, and 9 days at or above 21C/70F, and our average max this month is still only 15.0C (as of the 29th).

Not erratic. Just typical instability and huge departures from average that are the hallmark of the eastern US. Now you know why I dislike our climates.

That's characteristic of spring and fall here. Our winters and summers are much more consistent

Definitely. It's been dreadful, so I'd imagine 21c will see people half naked in parks and beaches throughout the country.
That tends to be what happens in this country at any sign of warmth.

Yep. There'll be a few pasty people turning pink.

I'll only do it in my own garden. I go brown quickly too, and im always well tanned in summer. I wouldn't walk around with my top off though in England. It's a bit chavvy, don't you think?
