I haven't scanned all the photos of the Oregon Trail across Wyoming...but here are a few:

Deep ruts in Guernsey, Wyoming. Emigrants walked next to their wagons and wore a rut of their own - I am standing in the rut they walked.

Another angle of the Deep Ruts, Guernsey, Wyoming:

Alvah H. Unthank was 19 years old when he arrived at Register Rock in Guernsey, Wyoming and carved his name (his nephew and grand-son carved their names underneath):

Just a week later, Alvah succumbed to cholera and was buried next to the ruts outside of Glenrock, Wyoming:

Swale on hill outside of Esterbrook, Wyoming:

This is the Council Bluff Cutoff - discovered just a few years ago - Casper, Wyoming

Oregon Trail swale, Devil's Gate, Wyoming. Often sagebrush will not grow where the trail runs...

Ruts leading to the Sweetwater River, Wyoming:

Parting of the Ways...outside of Farson, Wyoming:

Highland Lady! Those were awesome! It helps me visualize the area as I read my Oregon Trail book. Thank you so much! I wish I could see it in person now!

Thank you for allowing me to share!! To some this subject may not be to their liking, I am very honoured you allowed me to post here. I have more images of Wyoming - historical and otherwise - but do not want to take up all the space here!
