I need help. I can't decide what is the best area to move to in San Diego with kids for high school, Coronado, Poway, Torrey Pines, RB, Mt. Carmel, etc. I'd prefer if they could ride their bikes to school. I am mostly concerned about them getting involved in drugs when they are teenagers. For myself, I'm looking for a place that has a little nightlife so I can get out for an evening but be close to home. I'd also prefer shops and cafes withing walking distance.

Mending Nets

From afar I watched
the old woman mending nets,
alone on the pier as the sun
settled low in the western sky.
Her rough, knotted walnut hands
skillfully twist strands of polyfiber,
like rosary beads,
into the gaps
where a few silver sardines
made their escape
the night before.
In her prayerful state she toils,
her breathing in unison with the sea
lapping against the small stony pier....

In about 4 weeks I'm going to be getting a new puppy, and I was wondering what she would be like, cause her dad is a lab, pitbull mix and her mom is a boston terrier.
She's three weeks old right now, she is a cute puppy, here is a picture of her below.
