I'm betting all 13 of those teams were better than this one.

I like how you never factor in or mention anything that doesn't go along with your pre-determined troll narrative.

Avg attendance at STP so far this year is 29,863 per game, 14th out of 30 teams in the MLB; for all of last year, Braves attendance averaged 24,950 per game.

I imagine that if the Braves continue to improve, the avg attendance figures will rise.

I went to my first game at STP last night. The stadium's great & it's a much better fan experience overall, thanks to all the options at the Battery. And the Braves are a fun team to watch this year. They won 12-11 against the SF Giants and scored 8 runs in the fifth inning... this is with Freeman out of the lineup.

Also, if you want to put some numbers on it:

Quote:
Through 22 games at SunTrust Park, attendance — defined by MLB as tickets sold — is up 38 percent from the same point last year at Turner Field. That is the largest increase by any MLB team this season, as would be expected for a new stadium.

The other 14 MLB teams that have opened new stadiums since 2000 posted an average attendance increase of 28 percent in their first full season in their new home.

Of course but the Braves should have been spending the money on the payroll and not gambling on real estate in the suburbs.

No one is denying their is a new stadium boost. But you would at least hope you would be able to beat the 20 year average attendance at your old stadium in the first year with that boost.

Got to hurt when you came in this thread with "Say, how is that Braves STP attendance thing going?" only to find out it is down from when this was originally posted.

So as you wish: "Ha Ha"

Are you just going to blatantly lie now?

In what world is 27K higher than 30K?

Yeah, STP is turning into The Launching Pad 2.0, lots of fun to watch.

Do you want to start comparing the attendance with the first two sell-out games removed? Because we can do that.

Keep in mind, the first five games had an average attendance of 33,159

I think the Braves sellouts were a fluke too. It not like Atlanta United where they have sold out all seven of their home games so far. If you want real fun at a sports event, those are the games to go to.
