It was just (officially) announced the season will start on January 18, 2021.

I see that on MLK Day. They are looking to do it in the teams arenas with possible multi game series like MLB to cut down on travel. Its also not officially that date only a target. They will announce the official date 8 weeks out. So if that is the date will know in about a month.

I didn't think about MLK Day. They'll be announcing specifics as to what the season will look like a minimum of eight weeks in advance (which is what the date is contingent upon at this point i.e. a workable plan/decision as to how the season will unfold).

I am just going by what I have read. CBS Sports said:

NBA targeting Jan. 18 for start of next season, will give eight weeks notice ahead of time, per report

As for a specific date, Jan. 18 -- Martin Luther King Jr. Day -- is now the new target.

Target to me sounds like a goal. If it is for sure why say target? It might happen, it might be likely to be that day but until they confirm two months in advance and come up with a schedule and plan its likely but not guaranteed.

Right - lol, but they had to set a tentative date to formulate a plan (which has not been announced). I had not read the article you cite, so I didn't realize it was MLK Day. I'm a (GSW) season ticket holder and receive notifications through e-mail/the app.

There are rumors out there that the Lakers are shopping Kuzma. I am fine with moving Kuzma. I don't him better than he was his rookie season. You just never know what you will get game to game.

There is talk of Chris Paul or Derrick Rose. Or even Bradley Beal. I am fine trading Kuzma but I think Paul is too old and even Rose may have only a couple good years left. Seems like a mistake to trade a 25 year old with a big upside for an aging veteran. Bradley Beal would be great but I think it would take more than Kuzma to make that happen.

I think Derrick Rose would work. Lebron may only do 2 years so he would be ok with that. I'd say Rose and Bruce Brown or Luke Kennard for Kuzma. Beal has been on Lebron's wish list for a while but his salary is an issue as you mentioned. Trading Kuzma, I don't know about that. He needs to step up more but like you said, inconsistent.

Knicks fan here and I've hated the Celtics ever since I started watching NBA. Like the players they have but hate the Celtics. It's natural to hate them.

Rose would be a good fit. Either of those guys with Rose would work. In 3 or 4 years Kuzma could be an all star but the Lakers have a small window with LeBron.

Default THT - Talen Horton-Tucker

Talen Horton-Tucker. I remember him in the playoffs coming in briefly and impressed. He looked like he belonged out there in the 1st preseason game with the Clippers. Anyways he is 20 and its early in his NBA career he might turn out be a steal in the draft as he was a late 2nd rounder. Apparently Kawhi asked Wes Matthews if he was really just 20.

Tonight game two of two against the Clippers on ESPN. Hopefully some of the starters get some minutes this time.
