I just finished The Stones Cry Out by Sibella Giorello. I didn’t care for it all. I would read for say 20 minutes and if my life had depended on it I couldn’t tell you what had just happened. I did like one aspect of the book. The protagonist was very obviously Christian. I liked how her Christianity was handled as just another part of her character and not an attempt to preach to the reader.

If you like JACK REACHER, you have to read this new first novel by Mason Cross, entitled "The Killing Season." The guy's name is Carter Blake and I swear he is the twin to Reacher. They must have been hatched out of the same egg. It's a very good read, and I could not put it down. Am looking forward to more from Mason Cross as he continues the series.

Currently reading Dan Brown's "The Origin" ... I'm a good 150 pages in and I'm intrigued. I love the Robert Langdon novels.

Sarah's Key was a really good book- read that a few years ago (still after everyone else i know read it).Brava I hope you enjoy it.

I am going to start Lincoln in the Bardo which I heard was great and I reserved at the library a month or more ago. I got the notice that it was my turn. I know nothing about it but that it got lots of favorable reviews. I will let you know what I think.

I liked the Reacher books, until I saw the movie with the egotistical runt portraying him, and that ruined them for me -- "grudge by association."

Oh good! I had it waiting for me but had to release it because of our trip. I re-held it, #283!

I'm STILL listening to "A Storm of Swords." Who in their right mind writes a book that takes 48 hours to read!? I've got over 25 hours left to accomplish in 5 days.

Thanks for the info on this; I’ll peruse my used book stores since Kindle still wants a fortune for these.
