I also heard about that recall. They are going for the slowest gazelle first then working their way up. This rail roaded bill won't be as easy as crap Brown thought and things are about to get very ugly for him

Considering the bill has money going everywhere else with very little actually going to road repair (as we all knew it would) this bill has been nothing more than typical quid-pro-quo. We will see what happens. We recalled Gray Davis for doing the same thing with DMV fees

LOL. People crying about the gas tax? Price of gas is at an all time low compared to when dubya was in charge. Even with the new tax, the price of gas will still be cheaper than it was when that chimp bozo commander in creep was president.

Why didn't we get the same crying from Republinans when gas was at $5..... And the increase in price didn't help rebuild California. Instead the whopping record breaking profits made by these oil companies all went to the pockets of those who donated to the Bu$h admin.

Right before the end of Bush's term, all big oil colluded with one another to ca$h out and stick their middle finger at America.

You are aware that we have had other Presidents since Bush? Living in the past isn't healthy. We have the highest taxes in the country for just about everything. Why would you want to pay more?

Looks like more tax hikes are needed, on top of this one.

If you didn't complain about the price of gas in the past, why cry about it now?

CA is ranked 4th in States with the lowest Car tax.

As far as gas go, an extra 12 cents per gallon. LOL who cares. Still cheaper than the $5 we paid when Dubya was in charge.

But, hey, Trump has the power now. Waiting for Gas to hit $10...... As the oil industry needs to recoup some of their "donations" to the Trump admin.

What donations? He hardly had to spend a dime, the Liberal Biased National Media gave him all the coverage he needed.

Now Hillary was owned by a ton of people and several Nations.

That's the MO for republicans. We can't be in power and we don't have any ideas as to how to govern, so we'll just block any legislation and blame the other side for not doing anything then if we gain power we'll put it on the credit card and blame the other side for creating a deficit. Pretty much sums it up.

Who cares what people were paying 10 years ago. The fact is in most other states gas prices are barely over or under $2 per gallon while California is going to be closing in on $3.50 to $4.00 when this gas tax finally gets implemented.

Does that sound fair to you?

You have to ask yourself if the "roads" (wink wink) need $50 billion in EXTRA money to fix, why did the Democrats who have controlled the state senate and assembly in CA not try to fix it over the past 25 years they have controlled California politics. Jerry Brown is just thinking about this now?

Another reason to never vote democrat.
