I remember being moved by OJ right after he was acquitted because he said he would never stop until the killers were brought to justice. That changed my mind and I thought he really was innocent.

But I started getting suspicious a few weeks later when all he was doing was golfing and having fun.

So the bottom line here, he definitely did it. But not only that, he lied to everyone when he said he wouldn’t stop until justice was done.

As for motive, the prosecutors portrayed Simpson as a jealous man obsessed with his ex-wife and frustrated he could no longer control her through expensive gifts, threats and beatings. He killed Goldman, Darden said, “because he got in the way.”

The defense demolished the DNA evidence, arguing that police conspired to fabricate and contaminate evidence. It turned a key exhibit — the bloody glove — into a symbol of official malfeasance. Not only did Simpson’s lawyers allege that the glove found in their client’s yard that matched one found at the crime scene had been planted by a racist cop — Det. Mark Fuhrman, whose derogatory references to African Americans and boasts about manufacturing evidence were exposed in court — but the gloves didn’t even fit when Darden asked Simpson to try them on."*

Of course they didn't fit; they were soaked with blood and had shrunk.

The day OJ was found not guilty showed me how much racism there is in the black community.

I believe the District Attorney was afraid race riots would erupt if Simpson was convicted (as they did in 1992 after police were acquitted of attempted murder of Rodney King) and stacked the deck in favor of an acquittal. Simpson did not get a jury of his peers. His peers were the upper-class, overwhelmingly white folks he hobnobbed with since his football career.

Despite the nonsense of Cochran allegedly demonstrating the glove didn't fit, the same way any idiot could take a glove that fits them perfectly and contort their fingers and make a dog & pony show of 'struggling' to put it on, OJ's hands were protected by gloves. Celebrity, courtroom melodramatics and poorly executed prosecution saved OJ, nothing else.

It was jury nullification put on by Cochran...essentially it was pay back for all other black men screwed over by white cops in the past...it was a huge FU to the broader white community from Cochran. The jury I really believe were scared to return to their communities if they acquitted OJ...it was on the heals of the Rodney King riots and they didn't want to cause a repeat...Ironically OJ lived his life in the company of mostly rich white people...the jurors were not what he considered his peers until he was facing a double murder wrap!

You must be thinking of the civil trial in 1996, later. From the criminal trial that opened Jan. 24, 1995, in downtown Los Angeles:

Final Jury Composition
The Jury By Race: 9 Blacks, 1 Hispanics, 2 Whites

OJ stopped taking arthritis medication and his hands blew up. Prosecution was unaware.
