Good morning Miss Shawn...I don't think you quite understand what I mean, as we do agree in many aspects. I've said that God sets His face against those who do evil...who willfully sin and are wicked...who love and live in their iniquities...but that He absolutely does hear a sinners' humble, honest, heart felt cry for help. Yes, only then.

A prayer is a message to God. A plea for salvation, is a prayer to God by a sinner pleaing for salvation in a heartfelt and real way. Thus God does hear the prayers of sinners, albeit specific ones, thus to say that God can't hear the prayers of the sinners is yet another Biblical contradiction if one chooses to interpret the Bible in such a ridiculous way.

There is only one God, but we can each believe different things about him. Just this contrast is what I often see. I am glad you find rest and peace in the Lord, so do I.

Well here you have it. It doesn't matter what anyone else believes, just you Verna, oh and Mike555 of course. Heartsong is right, your version of the one true God is horribly skewed and twisted and brings NO ONE to Christ. The God, the one who would never burn people for eternity or annihilate them, is the God that Heartsong and I know and that is the God who is LOVE and the God who hears ALL of our prayers, ALL of us. Not just a select few who think they are perfect and never sin. Ridiculous.

The only prayers which God will not hear are those which are offered in mockery, or when the man loves his sins and is unwilling to give them up. Such prayers God will not hear...
