For an analogy, how about a long car trip without a map of any kind, in a foreign non English speaking country, without any money, credit cards, phone or even the ability to see out your windows? That's about what trying to understand G-d is like and what He expects, what He has set in motion, without the book. But please....go on and drive away....oh, and no one to tell you to..... LOOK OUT FOR THAT CLIFF!.....either. Peace
How about a "Guide" as promised; someone who knows the culture and the country and who has our best inerests at heart.
I think she has described it, by virtue of the fact that she accepts the entire bible and every description of God within it, as a description of the spirit she follows. That's her thing, that's her belief about God, that's what it boils down to.
So, no, Jerwade isn't clueless, anymore than any of us are who have regularly been in discussions with her. He knows what she believes and doesn't agree with her understanding of God, and she doesn't agree with his. She has said that people who don't see the bible the way she does aren't following God/Jesus, and perhaps others think the same of her.
I think what matters more than who anyone thinks anyone else is following, is knowing that God is drawing each of us from wherever we stand in any given moment and knows how to bring us to where we belong. That's God's mission. And all the discussions here, they serve a purpose in that.

God IS a Spirit and IS the Word, NOT the Bible or any other writing by men. Jesus IS the embodiment of the Word in a human consciousness, NOT the Law or the words "written in ink."

I am not deaf to what you are saying. This thread is about a mission to bring people to Jesus but you are bringing them to a BOOK!
The servant of God is the way the truth and the life which is God's word. Those who bring the word of God to others are the Servant of God which makes them the way the truth and the life. That is how the Son frees you.
"If the Son frees you, you shall truly be free."
If the servant of God frees you and you serve the Father in spirit and truth you will walk in the heavenly kingdom and see the presence of the Most High.
An inbuilt one. What use is the peace of God the leads us forth being outside of us?. The road map is for those who are lost.
No it's not. As I just shared in another thread, milk, meat and bread (hidden manna) are all in the scriptures, but as anyone can plainly see, you can only partake of what is needed for your growth at that particular time. Otherwise, it's like the thunder they heard; you hear the sound but there's no understanding of what it means. Which is why you DON'T throw the book away, as you only limit yourself and stunt your own growth. Peacce
